Alaya Consulting Organizes Webinar to Discuss Long-term ESG Initiatives in Response to Pandemics

HERA Community is proud to invite you to its first ever event and support its mission of building and strengthening the ESG coterie in Hong Kong. The Community aims to bring together corporates and professionals that advocate and exercise best ESG practices. Through events and partnerships, it serves as an experience sharing platform inspiring businesses to create positive impacts.

There have been many discussions, webinars and assemblies regarding Covid-19, its effects globally and how we can adapt. In this webinar, we will take a longer term approach in response to the fact that pandemics are not a matter of if, but when will it happen. With intensifying pandemic risks in the foreseeable future, building capacity to adapt to unprecedented ESG changes should become a dominant agenda for corporates and investors alike.

Join a panel of ESG experts, namely Tim Chan (Manulife), Johnson Kong (Our HK Foundation) and James Robertson (PRI) to explore and understand the effects of a pandemic on ESG and how you can equip your company to be prepared to absorb the shocks and be resilient of unexpected events in the long-term.

Key Discussion Themes

  • What are the implications of COVID-19 on ESG and how does it affect the drivers of reporting and investing?
  • How could companies respond to the changing ESG investment trends brought by the pandemic through their ESG practices?
  • How do sustainability reporting standards and frameworks come into play in helping investors and corporates to manage external risks and emergencies such as pandemics?
  • What strategies and policies do companies need to start thinking about in order to mitigate unexpected ESG risk?
